Sleeping Tech – Transfer Data from XP to Win 7 Computer

TECH TIP: DATA TRANSFER FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7

Microsoft offers a FREE program on their site EASY TRANSFER.  The process from going from an XP computer to a new Windows 7 machine: FIRST: Download the EASY TRANSFER TO YOUR XP COMPUTER. Make sure to select the one for XP. SECOND: Connect the two computers with a USB cable. THIRD: Run the program and select the data you want to move (FORGET PROGRAMS – DATA ONLY). FOURTH: The program will move your selected data to the Windows 7 computer. If you’re unconfortable downloading and using programs like this, copy you files onto a flash drive or external hard drive and move them over to the new computer.  ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH: The NFL and Major League Baseball for both scheduling the Philadelphia teams at the same prime time on Sunday night.  It would have been easier for baseball to change the time, but they didn’t.  The’ll be a lot of channel switching in the Philadelphia area.  Check out this government employee hard at work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaxwIF7qcZk
