Sleeping Tech – OK to unplug HOT?

QUESTION:  I have an older round plug (PS2) mouse.  Can I plug or unplug that mouse hot (with the computer on) like a USB mouse?

 ANSWER:  Zz (NO. Turn the computer off first and then either plug or unplug the mouse.  You can either blow the mouse port and even short out the computer motherboard).
