Sleeping Tech – Do your own laptop diagnosis

QUESTION:  If my laptop doesn’t power on, is there anything I can test prior to taking it to a service department?

ANSWER:  zZZzZZ (First physically remove the battery and try to turn on the notebook with the same AC charger.  Sometimes a bad battery will cause a notebook not to power on.  Next, try a different power supply.  Second Source will do a quick test with a universal charger to see if your power supply is bad.  If a different power source doesn’t work, you can probably expect a repair estimate of a minimum $150.  The data on the hard drive is probably OK).  NOTE: The SLEEPCAM WILL BE SETUP SOON
