Bob’s Special Tip – ID Theft Tops Complaints

Me and the guys have some info for you.  Reports of Identity theft topped the list of consumer complaints to the US FTC for 2010 for the 11th straight year.  Over 1.34 million complaints were filed and almost 20% Debt collection complaints were 2nd at 11%.  ID theft is not considered under fraud complaints.  About 45% of all fraud complaints start with email contact.  BEWARE.  I DON’T UNDERSTAND: Why aren’t people more careful when they get an unsolicited email?  I don’t even answer them.
