COMPUTERS: Norton put out a statistic that 89% of all emails are spam. What does that say about our spam filters? You know who actually doesn’t have a bad website is Comcast. I checked it out the other day and I thought it was O.K. I liked the featured videos. COMMENTARY: Last week, the Temporary Delaware US Senator Ted Kauffman, now replaced, was interviewed on CNBC. This is the man who was appointed to Biden’s seat in the US Senate, who just was replaced in the Mid-term elections by Chris Coons. He was ruminating about his concerns, as a Democrat, with where things seem to be going, where Obama’s people are pushing expanding the Too Big To Fail malarkey now, to include their favorite banks, (Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, etc, as well as wanting to keep Sallie Mae and Fannie Mae alive, and now to identify other manufacturing and supplier giants like GE as too big to fail. Apparently Obama’s advisors see so much trouble coming again, without putting the brakes on their inane spending which they love to do, they are putting fences around certain parts of the still standing entities they want to see continue versus all the others that could fail that they don’t have favorable feeling about. This is in Kauffman’s eyes unwise.
Ask to explain as a Democrat how all of this is good for America, he said simply, he cannot discuss his feeling, because he only will speak to policies he understands, and he is drawing a total blank on understanding the Obama Administrations positions in expanding too big to fail expansions, particularly with regard to future additional stimulus. This man just completed as his post term of US Senator a study commission of the TARP, which he did believe was necessary, to simply be there in case, unfortunately Obama’s economic team thought it was a fund to use for whatever purpose, like a checking account created on which one could write checks for anything. Despite current misuse, he does believe the TARP accomplished avoidance of a total meltdown and collapse of the financial markets. Without it he believes there would have been in 2008 massive carnage and global failure. Kauffman was not too critical of the way TARP was utilized by Obama, I will add Democrats and liberals do not believe money acquired from taxpayers is owned by taxpayers, they believe they were given the money to spend; they don’t have any problem because they believe they legally own the money, or that the government owns the money. Politicians believe that unlike a bank robber, the fact they passed something in legislature like TARP or stimulus, that this legally transfers money to them away from taxpayers and then they get to spend it anyway they dream up. President Obama goes a bit farther, spending these monies to transfer wealth to the poor of the world, not just in the US. Only lawyers could dream up such crap.
On the Republican side, with the tea parties and all, any US Republican Senator who voted for the TARP either have been defeated and thrown from office, or are about to be removed such as Oran Hatch of Utah. On the Democrats side anyone who voted for the TARP has been rewarded by Obama and the Democratic leftist Legislators. Kauffman indicates we are in an extremely partisan Washington like never before.
The Democrats in my opinion have successfully been able to paint the Republicans as the culprits, and displaced blame from themselves artfully with the willing if not total arch friends the mainstream press. We are a nation with a total lack of any plan to survive in the energy markets or to work our way out of severe hardships coming our way. Taxpayer dollars instead seem to be supporting continued dependence upon foreign oil. We have a President going around the globe giving our dollars to unfriendly countries to buy oil, and giving away our precious Gulf area to other countries to capture our resources with which they can control America and perhaps damage America, but this President seems to be comfortable with all of that. Our nation in the hands of Democrats is going to face the worst future possible, and it is apparently the way they want it. Brazil arrangements just agreed to by Obama is a perfect example, wherein we have now contracted with Brazil, with George Soros involvement as investor, to allow for deep water oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, then to sell such Brazilian oil back to the United States at Brazilian profits, using Billions of US taxpayer money to equip the nationalized Brazilian oil company to do this to ourselves. What kind of mad mad world does Obama believe we live in? How can the Leftist in the United States live with themselves and this outrageous posture of the President their own unwavering support of such policies? Only Fox News Network has the gumption to report this horrible mess.
I am most concerned about the near future and even more concerned about the extended future of America. The politicians have ruined this nation, and it happened with our eyes wide open during the past two years. It happens at the hand of Barack Obama and the leftist who installed him in office or follow him, and he should be removed from office as quickly as possible.
