Bob’s Special Tech Tip – Vista Defrag

Me and the guys have a tip for you.  Even though Windows VISTA has a bad rap, it’s really an O.K. operating system, but the one thing it doesn’t do well is DEFRAGMENT YOUR HARD DRIVE. Hard drive defragmentation is like spring housecleaning your hard drive.  It re-arranges all the misplaced files and puts them in order, so your computer will run faster. I’ve seen hard drives using VISTA take over 24 hours to defragment.  If you are going to defragment your hard drive and your operating system is VISTA, it’s a good idea to begin the DEFRAGMENTATION before going to bed, because it could take all night to run.  ISN’T THIS RETARDED? That Iran will be nuclear capable before the end of the month.
