Sleeping Tech – When to get updates

QUESTION:  Is it a good idea to get software updates and if so when and how often?

ANSWER:  Always update your Windows OS software.  Back up your computer prior to updating, in case the updates cause a problem.  In the case of a major Windows service pack update, wait at least 30 days prior to updating.   Sometimes Windows will also provide updates for your hardware as well.  Stay away from any video card upgrades that Windows selects.  They can cause problems.  ALWAYS KEEP YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE UPDATED!  WHOSE ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH? How about the lady driving this car that ran a red light and crushed this guy’s motorcycle.  Watch the guy…he never hits the ground. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYmzPErRgBQ
